EDITOR-IN-CHIEF: LUCY STRINGER (BA History, Duke University) is pursuing her Master's degree in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. Next year, Lucy will be in Washington, DC, where she plans to work in the fields of democracy-building and development, with a focus on the re-emerging economies of Russia and the former Soviet Union. MANAGING EDITOR: MARIE ROWELL is a junior pursuing a BA in Linguistics with Honors; her main interest lies in child language acquisition. She is from Santa Rosa, California, and will be spending this summer at Stanford studying for the LSAT, the GRE, and preparing to apply to graduate school. She also plans to keep busy as a Stanford Tour Guide, comforting the fears of over-anxious prospective freshman and their families.

 

LAYOUT EDITOR: BIKO NAGARA is a graduate of Occidental College with a Bachelor's degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs. He conducted an internship with the UN Secretariat as a writer for the UN Chronicle in 2003, and has extensive NGO experience, including work for Greenpeace USA and the Center for Progressive Leadership in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, respectively. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in political and economic development through Stanford's International Policy Studies program.

 

HUMANITIES SECTION EDITOR: MATT CUSICK is a senior History major from New Castle, Pennsylvania who's off to Moscow this fall.

 

GENERAL SECTION EDITOR: IRINA DENISCHENKO is a junior who recently transferred from the University of Chicago, and is majoring in Comparative Literature and Philosophy at Stanford. Her interests include literature and philosophy of the German Enlightenment, German and Russian Romanticism, late 19th century Russian literature and philosophy, Russian Orthodoxy, philosophy of history, and aesthetic theory.
